To help celebrate my very first day as a participant I have posted a fun little video to set the right tone for this special occasion.
I thought that I'd share photos of the very first vintage thing I placed my in-need-of-bifocals eyes on. That turned out to be this set of hand painted little pink topped bottles.
Then my eyes immediately zoomed over to this vintage scrap of fabric that I've had since forever. It came from a pile of things that seemed to be from the 20-40s and I am figuring that to be about right. It was very dark yucky yellow when I first came upon i. It has whitened up nicely. It's one of those simple things that I don't plan to ever part with. I just wish that I had more of it. Darn.
As for these darling bottles. I have not the foggiest notion any longer where in the hay they came from. No matter.
My favorites are the one that says Bay Rum. My Curious George mind wonders what pray tell was that for. I also have a special place in my heart for the one labled Witch Hazel. I can't glance at it without being reminded of this Witch Hazel.
Until next time, thanks for swinging by!
Hi Everyone! I just had a chance to jump on my computer and yay! I see all the wonderful comments. Unfortunately we have a an illness in the family. We will be squeezing in as many errands as possible and then we may run off (an hour away)to be with family tonight and tomorrow. We will probably not return until Sunday. I can't wait until I can sit, relax and visit you all in return. I will try my best to squeeze a few visits in if and when I can later. At the very latest, I will not be able to respond to everyone and go calling until Monday morning.
Also, I've been goofing around with my blog this week. Rearranging this moving and adding that. I notice that in my hast that plenty of things are jumbled up and topsy turvy. I am a little embarrassed. I feel like I'm throwing a party in a dirty house. Please ignore anything amiss!
